Life skills:

  • Develop self-confidence and thinking/problem solving skills

  • Penmanship – will be able to write letters of the alphabet independently

Cognitive:

  • Recognition of the alphabet
  • Reinforce letter sounds a –z (synthetic phonics)
  • Recognition of high-frequency sight words
  • Understanding of concepts/ rote count/ numeral recognition / writing (1-20)
  • Addition (within 10)
  • Subtraction (within 10)
  • Measurement: Weight, Height and Length
  • Classify, match and compare objects
  • Trace and copy own name

Aesthetic Appreciation:

  • Develop sense of rhythm for music
  • Sing-along to familiar songs/rhymes
  • Express creativity through Art & Craft
  • Use scissors and writing materials with control
  • Enhance creativity
  • Develop appreciation for music and art

Physical:

  • Build body coordination / hand-eye coordination
  • Develop gross and fine motor skills
  • Can transit between motor skills (e.g. running/jumping)
  • Display a good level of coordination when skipping/galloping
  • Able to catch a ball/beanbag
