First High School Batch Graduate With Flying Colours!
29 June, 2007 was a very special day for us. It marked the graduation of our first high school students, following a gruelling two-year IB Diploma programme. The challenges faced by both our students and teachers pervaded the speech by our high school valedictorian, Yang Ping Hsien, who took a short trip down memory lane tracing the early experiences of her batch to the end all which rendered them stronger both academically and as individuals. She closed her speech with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt urging her classmates and the school community to “believe in the beauty of their dreams”.
We are proud to report that the final IB DP results which were released in July showed that our students had indeed done very well, exceeding all expectations. A few of our graduates have successfully secured places at universities, locally and abroad: National University of Singapore, Central St Martin’s Art College, London, Queensland University of Technology and Fudan University, and are entering their first year. May we extend our heartiest congratulations to our graduates: Yang Ping Hsien, Florence Goh, Toh Jing Ting, Elaine Chong, Terry Lee, Thomas Ding, Susan Zhan, Shin Hye Yon and Chen Hengyi. All your efforts have paid off! We wish you the very best for the future!
