THE CAMBRIDGE IGCSE PROGRAMME (For Secondary One Students starting 2010/2011)
In SSIS, the curriculum in Secondary One is designed to equip students with the knowledge and aptitude for the academic challenges that lay ahead. It lays foundation for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) subjects taken in Secondary Three and Four. IGCSE is an internationally recognized qualification for school students. The syllabuses at SSIS is based on the programmes offered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Edexcel.
Our curriculum offers a wide range of subjects from seven areas : Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Aesthetics, Physical Education and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The objective is to allow our students to explore the varied landscape of different subjects that offers them an experiential learning process. We are committed to develop in our students a passion for life and a love for learning through a holistic and well-balanced education.
The first batch of IGCSE students will sit for their examinations in the academic year 2012/2013.
