I come from the USA and I joined SSIS in 2013. The thing that I like most at SSIS is the belief in a holistic teaching of a child. Of course content is very important in the learning process, but building character, communicating with peers and instilling creativity is equally important. At SSIS we have the I4C values (initiative, commitment, care, communication, collaboration) to help students become well-rounded global citizens. Working in the Intensive Support Programme (ISP), I am able to help children learn English and these values with the added element of being in an international setting. I sincerely hope teachers and students hold onto I4C values to make a positive impact in the world.
