Here are the answers to some important and frequently asked questions. We hope this section provided you with some common questions that we have received. Please feel free to ask more questions via our email if you possess any. 

Does PUXIMUN make use of THIMUN rules of procedure?

While PUXIMUN is not a THIMUN affiliate, we do make use of THIMUN rules of procedure and all debates follow their protocol. To learn more about the THIMUN procedures, visit their website.

Do all delegates give Opening Speeches?

All delegates are required to give an opening speech, irrespective of their committees. The opening speeches should take no more that 1 minute per delegate.

Will meals be provided? If so what are they?

Lunches will be provided on every day of the conference, and there is a vegetarian option as well. Snacks will be provided too. Delegates with other dietary needs can contact us for more information about the meals and snacks.

How many delegates are expected?

We estimate that our conference will have around 200 delegates from various schools in Shanghai since we are a new conference. But we are expecting many more schools to sign up with their delegations so that number might change in the near future!

Can delegates from other schools join our student officer group?

While the Secreteriat is currently made up of the members from SAS Puxi and SSIS, delegates from other schools can apply for chairing positions by filling out the “Chair Application Form” on our website! Be sure to submit it before the deadline highlighted in the form.
