2025 SSIS Family Golf Day
Golf at SSIS is not just a niche PE Programme but also a sport that brings together families who love golf. On October 11th, we hosted the annual SSIS Family Golf Day and SSIS families met and played at Suzhou Sun Island as a privilege of being part of our PRIME Group International. On the day of the event, parents and children teamed up, and both new and old family gathered at the fairway to bond and exchange golfing skills. From noon until dusk, everyone experienced the transformations of the beautifully manicured fairways and admired the stunning views of Lake Yang Cheng beside the fairway. During the awards ceremony in the evening, there was enthusiastic and joyful interaction, with everyone making plans to reunite next time, possibly at another Sun Island resort in China.
Once again, we extend our gratitude to the Suzhou Sun Island for their venue support, to Ganso for the delicious snacks, and to Shanghai Daylight Advertising for capturing all the wonderful moments throughout the event, crafting a perfect narrative! We look forward to meeting at the fairway again next time!
G1-G10 Golf PE Programme
At SSIS, golf is a core course for all students from G11 to G10. The on-campus SABRES GOLF ACADEMY CENTRE offers a range of facilities, including indoor simulators and outdoor practice areas. Students advance from learning basics and etiquette to honing short game and full swing skills through interactive activities. Our aim is to encourage continuous learning, build confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship, shaping holistic individuals both on and off the course.
Co-Curricular Activity (CCA)
The SSIS Co-Curricular programme hones young golfers’ skills, turning mechanics into muscle memory and enhancing their short game for precision and distance. Integrating academics with golf expertise, this on-campus program provides expert mentorship and advanced technical training to ready students for competitive play outside the classroom.
After School Programme (ASP)
The intensive After School Programme (ASP) targets exceptional teenage golfers, enhancing their skills through precise swing and short game training. With small classes, personalized coaching, and exclusive field training at Kunshan Sun Island, students make continuous progress in golf.
SSIS SABRES Golf Team
Our SABRES golf team now includes players aged 8 to 18. We are expanding our recruitment to build a more diverse team aligned with the SSIS ethos. We welcome passionate players who aspire to excel under SSIS coaching and aim for higher levels. Training collectively and individually at the SABRES GOLF ACADEMY and Kunshan Sun Island, our team competes in various on and off-campus golf tournaments year-round.
World-Class Golf Facilities: Empowering Students to Achieve Their Dreams
SSIS campus features premier golf amenities such as the indoor Golf Academy with simulators, an outdoor driving range, and chipping/putting greens. Our team also trains at Kunshan Sun Island. These facilities, both on and off-campus, not only improve skills but also offer a top-tier competitive environment.
CGA Certification: A Measure of Progress
In partnership with the China Golf Association (CGA), SSIS offers young golfers the opportunity for tiered certification, allowing them to assess their progress and continue to refine their skills. Students seeking further challenges can complete advanced level tests at the Kunshan Sun Island.
