The Primary Graduation was a heartfelt and memorable event, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of our Grade 6 students. It was a bittersweet occasion as they bid farewell to their Primary years and prepared to embrace the exciting challenges of Senior School.
The ceremony brought together proud parents, devoted teachers, and Grade 5 students, all gathered to celebrate the achievements of our graduating class.
The event opened with a warm congratulatory speech from Mr. Tony Rampton, Primary School Principal at SSIS. He applauded the students not only for their academic accomplishments but also for their patience, resilience, kindness, and leadership. Mr. Rampton encouraged them to carry the SSIS Learner Attributes into the next stage of their journey, reminding them that no matter where life leads them, they will always be Sabres.
As the graduates walked across the stage to receive their certificates, their faces lit up with pride, joy, and anticipation for the future. The ceremony was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance, and a fitting send-off into a new chapter of learning.
The celebration featured joyful performances, including a dance by HUA Luka Chenxi, a K-Pop routine by Grade 6 dancers, and beautiful instrumental solos by KIM Minseung (violin) and LIU Yining (cello). A highlight was the surprise gift—a heartfelt video from teachers, sharing messages of encouragement and love.
In a moving closing speech, Mr. David Shirley celebrated the tremendous growth, resilience, and leadership shown by the Grade 6 students throughout the year. He also expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support of teachers, families, and staff who helped shape this journey. Looking ahead, he inspired students to face new challenges with courage and compassion.
As our Grade 6 students move forward, we hope they continue to embody the values, skills, and learner attributes nurtured during their time in Primary School.
