T1W9 – 28 Oct 2022
Dear SSIS Community,
As we say goodbye to the month of October and welcome November, we want to thank all the parents for supporting our school-wide communication on WeCom from the beginning of this academic year. Parent notifications on WeCom are getting busy and we have many messages going out from teachers to parents on a daily basis.
So far, we have had as high as 82% of our parents reading and confirming receipt of our whole school messages. These messages contain pertinent information about your child, school life and the community at large. By clicking on the blue CONFIRM button, it allows us to know that you have received our message. We are currently reaching out to remaining parents who may be missing out on all the information disseminated by the school or have difficulty accessing these school notifications.
We will keep you posted when we achieve a perfect 100% readership and confirmation! Please help us to help you and your child get the most out of our SSIS education by being an active member of our community.
We are also seeking your assistance to log onto OpenApply(OA) and updating your child’s particulars and household member(s) information under CHECKLIST. There are additional requirements from the authorities that need your attention and time to fill out. In a recent random check by the CDC, it was highlighted that the information we have in our system is lacking and needs to be updated promptly. The school is required to maintain a current database of student and staff information and share it with the relevant authorities in times of Covid tracing or any emergencies.
It was also brought to our attention that a large handful of students have an expired black Covid code. Thus, many of them were present in school but could not complete their PCR test in school. Unfortunately, this creates an inconvenience to families who then have to take extra effort to bring their child for a PCR test after school. Please do remember to submit the renewed black Covid code before it expires to this link. (Student login details are required)
Wishing everyone a beautiful Autumn weekend ahead!
