Meanwhile, the Student Voices Competition reminded us all of the power of young minds to envision a sustainable future—thank you to Ms. Nalaysha and student participants.
As end-of-year exams unfolded, Grades 4–6 demonstrated remarkable resilience, with our youngest test-takers embracing this milestone with confidence.
Each of these moments embodies the curiosity, determination, and compassion that define our SSIS community.

Grade 3–4 Track & Field Excursion: Sabres on the Rise!
On May 6th and 7th, our Grade 3 and 4 Sabres travelled to SAS Pudong for an exhilarating Track & Field Day, showcasing their athleticism, determination, and school spirit across a variety of events.
Our young athletes delivered outstanding performances, bringing home top placements in jumping, throwing, sprinting, and relays. Highlights include Sophie Wall (Grade 3), who took first place in both the 400m and 800m, and Marko Datsiuk (Grade 4), who swept gold in triple jump, long jump, and the 200m.
The day was filled with personal bests, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of all our participants for their effort and enthusiasm. Ribbons will be awarded soon to honour their achievements.
Congratulations to all our Grade 3 and 4 Sabres—your hard work and dedication truly shone on the track!
Go Sabres!
Student Voices: Inspiring Ideas for a Sustainable Future
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Student Voices Competition—a powerful event that highlighted our learners’ passion, creativity, and commitment to building a better world.
Students took to the stage to share their ideas and solutions for a more sustainable future, demonstrating thoughtful insight, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. It was truly inspiring to hear their voices and see their confidence in action.
A special thank you to Ms. Nalaysha for her role as a judge and for coordinating and supporting our students throughout the process. Your guidance made this meaningful opportunity possible.
Well done to all participants—you made us proud!
End-of-Year Exams: Building Confidence and Academic Skills
Students in Grades 4 to 6 have been working diligently as they take on their end-of-year exams, a key academic milestone in their learning journey. Each student sits for a total of ten assessments, covering a range of subjects that reflect the knowledge and skills they’ve built throughout the year.
For our Grade 4 students, this marks their first experience with formal exams. To help them prepare, they participated in mock exams and practiced effective study strategies both at school and at home. These experiences not only support academic readiness but also build confidence, focus, and resilience.
We’re proud of the effort and determination our students have shown and wish them continued success as they complete this important chapter of the school year!
Kind regards,
Primary School Principal Office
