Let’s Go Sabres!
Sabres Swim Team
The SSL Championships 2023 were held this past Saturday and Sunday at SAS Pudong. This 2-day culminating event summarizes all the SSL rounds that have been held throughout the year. As it is the Championships, swimmers need to have qualified during the year. As we are still a new team and gaining experience, it was great to have 21 swimmers qualify for this year’s Championships.
Special recognition goes to the standout performance from Jean in her individual events with our 9-10 Girls relay teams performing well and being placed in the awards.
Big cheers our first time joining the championships, our 9-10 Girls finishing 11th and our 11-12 Girls finishing 9th out of 23 schools! Go Sabres!!
CISSA Basketball & Track
After 3 long arduous years of missing two very important activities out of the sports calendar, the students and coaches are so excited to welcome back the CISSA Basketball and CISSA Track & Field seasons! The teams have been meeting two times a week to develop their skills and technique with the end goal of participating in the end of season Cross River Tournaments which take place in May. Let’s wish the teams good luck with the rest of their season. Go Sabres!
Mark your Cross-river event calendars.
- May 13th for Track & Field
- May 20th for Basketball
SISAC & ACAMIS Soccer
SISAC & ACAMIS Soccer seasons have come to an end, and what a season to celebrate!
The teams were off last week for our Yellow Division ACAMIS hosted by BCIS in Beijing. The teams played many competitive games, experienced a high standard of football and it was overall a great experience. Our Boys finished 2nd and the Girls finished 3rd.
Players, Alba Navarro Yu (G11), Naina Suwakumar (G9), Kim Do Hyun Andy (G12) and Pranav Kapoor (G12) were recognized as all tournament players by the opposition. Well done to them, and all of the Sabres.
Keep that Sabre Spirit up!
Sincerely,
Katrina SENARATNA
