Building a Stronger SSIS Community Together: The Power of Your Participation!
Dear SSIS Parents,
At SSIS, we believe that our strength lies in the vibrant connections between students, families, and teachers. As we approach two exciting opportunities——the School Gala (25 April) and upcoming Community/Parent Consultation Session (8 March) for our next strategic plan and Student Led Conference, SLC (29 March), ——I want to highlight how your participation plays a transformative role in shaping our community and your child’s educational experience.
While the Gala and strategic planning sessions serve different purposes, both are essential for community building, aligning ideas and developing open communication. Participating in these opportunities help us all strengthen our relationships, develop common goals and foster open dialogue to better support student success.
Our School Gala isn’t just a night of fun——it’s an opportunity to build community spirit and by attending, you help the school and demonstrate to your child that:
– You believe in their school, and it is important
– Building positive relationships is a key to success
– Our school is a place for everyone
Please consider gathering a group of friends and booking a table for this special event. I look forward to seeing you all there!
I also want to thank all those who have already registered for the upcoming parent consultation session on Saturday, 8 March. Your voice is critical as we chart SSIS’s path forward. This session will help the school form priorities for our school’s future. The discussion at this day will partner the feedback from staff and students and will help us all aspired to an even greater future for our students.
For SLC, please attend the session with your child to celebrate the learning and accomplishments of your child in school. As it is a non-school day, you will be free to leave with your child once the session is over.
So, whether you attend at the Gala, share ideas at our consultation session, or attend SLC and other school functions, your presence makes a difference. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where every student thrives.
Thank you for being pillars of the SSIS community. We look forward to collaborating with you!
Stronger Together,
Mr. David Shirley
Head of School
