100th Day of School

Students in the primary division marked the 100th day of school with a day full of creativity, learning, and fun to celebrate being “100 days smarter!” Grade 1 students spread kindness by writing 100 acts of kindness on heart-shaped notes, while Grade 2 students dressed up as 100-year-olds, crafted word problems equaling 100, and shared their “100 Wishes for the Future.” Grade 3 students worked together to count and creatively display 100 Cheerios, and Grade 4 students took on a research challenge, compiling 100 facts about natural disasters. Grade 5 students honed their writing skills by crafting exactly 100-word stories, and Grade 6 students explored their unique strengths through intelligence-based activities. The Student Council added to the excitement by organising engaging recess activities, including a 100-second hot potato game, a 100m dash, a 100-piece Lego challenge, and a 100th-day paper chain project. It was a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and celebration, reinforcing how far our students have come in their learning journey!

Coffee Morning: Building an Inclusive and Restorative School Culture

On February 25, the Primary Division leadership team hosted a Coffee Morning to share the work being done to foster inclusivity, strengthen relationships, and implement restorative practices in conflict resolution. Led by Tony Rampton and Kiza Draut, the session provided parents with an overview of how restorative practices are shaping a positive school culture, moving away from punitive discipline and toward dialogue-driven solutions that repair harm and build trust.

The discussion highlighted the teacher training initiatives focused on restorative circles, de-escalation strategies, and conflict resolution, ensuring that students develop empathy, respect, and accountability in their interactions. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the meaningful conversation on creating a more inclusive and supportive learning community!

Kind regards,

Tony Rampton
