Student-Led Conferences: Celebrating Growth and Achievement

On Saturday, March 29, Primary students proudly took the lead in their learning during our Student-Led Conferences. This special event gave students the opportunity to share their portfolios, reflect on their progress, and celebrate personal achievements with their families.

Through thoughtful presentations, students highlighted their proudest work, reflected on challenges they’ve overcome, and shared goals for the rest of the year. It was a meaningful moment for parents to witness their child’s growth and hear directly from them about their learning journey.

Thank you to all the teachers, specialists, and families for supporting our students and making the day a success. It was a true celebration of confidence, communication, and progress!

Division Shines in “Kid Frankenstein” Production

On Saturday, March 29, during the second half of Student-Led Conferences, the Primary Division proudly presented the lively and humorous production of “Kid Frankenstein.” Students wowed audiences of peers, parents, faculty, and families with their energy, expression, and teamwork on stage.

The performance followed the story of Frankie, a clever kid who decides to create his very own monster—with hilarious and heartwarming results. Through dynamic acting, catchy musical numbers, and creative stagecraft, our talented cast brought the story to life, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and impressed.

A huge congratulations to all the student performers, and a heartfelt thank you to the teachers, staff, and families who supported this wonderful production. It was a joyful celebration of creativity, collaboration, and confidence!

International Friendship Day: A Celebration of Culture and Connection

Primary students had an unforgettable experience celebrating International Friendship Day, a joyful event that brought our school community together in the spirit of diversity, learning, and global friendship.

The day kicked off with an exciting assembly where students advertised their assigned countries and invited peers to visit their classroom doors. The assembly also featured wonderful writing awards, a lively dance performance, and a fascinating Wuxi martial arts demonstration, setting the tone for a day filled with cultural exploration and pride.

Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in the study of a specific country, decorating their classroom doors with vibrant displays and cultural symbols. They visited their peers’ doors, collected passport stamps, and expanded their understanding of cultures from around the world. A crowd favourite was the “Mystery Teacher” game, where students listened to clues and tried to guess which teacher was being described.

On the big day, students dressed in traditional attire, students also enjoyed tasting international foods, playing fun games, shopping for unique cultural items at the PSG booths, and watching live performances that highlighted global traditions. Meanwhile, our Grade 6 students had a special experience connecting with Senior School students, deepening bonds across divisions.

A huge thank you to our teachers, PSG, parent volunteers, and support staff for making this vibrant celebration of culture and community such a memorable day!

Cool K-Kidz Club Hosts Korean School for a Special Cultural Exchange

As part of the International Friendship Day celebrations, the Cool K-Kidz Club proudly hosted student council members from the neighbouring Korean School, creating a meaningful opportunity for intercultural exchange and friendship building.

Our students warmly welcomed their guests, confidently running a vibrant booth themed around “Squid Game” where they introduced peers to Korean culture through hands-on activities such as dalgona candy making, ttakji (traditional paper tile flipping), and crafting traditional Korean keepsake boxes. Our students also guided visiting students through the school displaying the work each grade had done on their country-theme doors and helped them to participate in our scavenger hunt Collecting stamps in their passports along the way. Their preparation, hospitality, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on visitors, including the Korean School teachers, who praised the students’ kindness, effort, and outstanding presentation.

It was a proud moment for the Cool K-Kidz, who not only took ownership of the event but also showcased their leadership, creativity, and cultural pride. Through this experience, students strengthened their global awareness and made new friends—proving once again the power of student-led initiatives in building bridges across communities.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Jae Oh and Mr. John Kwak for their continued support and to all the families who cheered on our Cool K-Kidz every step of the way!

Kind regards,
