Dear Families,

We have made it to winter break. I am sure everyone is looking forward to spending some time with family and friends. We hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable break. School will resume on the 2nd January 2024.

Parent – Teacher Conferences

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I want to express our sincere gratitude for your active participation in the Parent-Teacher Conferences held this past Saturday. Your presence made the event truly special, and it was wonderful to connect with so many of you to hear your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the primary division. I am also confident that you received valuable feedback regarding your child’s progress, achievements, and areas of growth.

We value the partnership between home and school, and your commitment to being actively involved in your child’s education is truly commendable.

The insights you shared, the questions you asked, and the collaborative spirit you brought to the conferences contributed immensely to creating a supportive learning environment. Your dedication to understanding and contributing to your child’s educational journey is a testament to the strong sense of community we have at SSIS.

If you have any further questions or concerns that may have arisen, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers or the school administration. We are here to support you and ensure the success and well-being of each student.

Once again, thank you for making the Parent-Teacher Conferences a success. We appreciate your ongoing partnership and look forward to continued collaboration for the benefit of our students.

Gratitude and Kindness Week

Last week we were immersed in a heartwarming celebration that highlights the values of gratitude and kindness.

At SSIS, we believe in fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Gratitude and kindness are essential pillars that strengthen our school community and create a culture of empathy and support. It provided a special opportunity for our students to reflect on the importance of gratitude and express kindness towards one another.

Have a wonderful break and I look forward to hearing about what the students got up to during the holiday.

Kind regards,

Tony Rampton

In our Grade 3 STEAM project, Eason shines as a symbol of innovation and environmental responsibility. His exceptional construction abilities and meticulous craftsmanship set him apart turning concepts into achievements. Eason’s involvement in the STEAM project, which focused on protecting endangered plants, not just showcased his technical expertise but also highlighted his deep understanding of the significance of preserving our ecosystem. His inventive thinking and critical approach brought the project to life, proving that Eason isn’t a builder, but a visionary committed to making change.

As an advocate for causes Eason seamlessly combines his building talents with a passion for sustainability. Whether crafting LEGO structures for the plant and pollinator initiative or demonstrating collaboration skills in the ASP First LEGO League Eason consistently stands out. His creative genius extends to engineering design as he skillfully tackles challenges with a blend of creativity and analytical thinking. Eason’s journey in the realm of STEAM does not showcase his prowess but also offers a glimpse into the future of an ambitious young innovator destined to make a lasting impact on our world.
