This week I would like to share with you the holistic benefits of a Camping/Excursion Programme.
At SSIS, we believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom walls. That’s why we are excited to introduce our school-wide approach to our Camping/ Excursion Programme. This year, our overnight camping programme will begin in Grade Four, and as our students progress through the grades, they will have the opportunity to stay away longer, experience more challenges, and grow further as lifelong learners.
One of the primary aims of our Excursion Programme is to challenge our students and build within them a sense of personal strength and drive. By stepping out of their comfort zones and facing new experiences, they develop resilience, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset. These qualities are essential for success not only in academics but also in their personal and professional lives.
Our Excursion Programme is a fundamental element of our school, and we see it as vital to the holistic development of our students. It provides them with opportunities to explore the world around them, learn about different cultures, and develop a sense of global citizenship. Through hands-on experiences, they gain a deeper understanding of the subjects they study in the classroom and make connections to real-life situations.
We expect all our students to participate in our Excursion Programme because we believe it is an integral part of their education. It allows them to apply what they have learned in a practical setting, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and foster a sense of independence and responsibility.
Upon their return from these trips, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students. We recognise the growth they have made as individuals and as a community. We believe that these experiences contribute to their development as future global leaders, equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the world.
In conclusion, our Camping/Excursion Programme plays a crucial role in developing our students in a holistic way.
