As part of our ongoing efforts to showcase our unique educational initiatives, this year we are excited to present a series on SSIS Early Years Nature Learning.
What is Nature Learning?
Childhood is a magical time! As educators and parents, it is our responsibility to create joyful and meaningful experiences. Research shows that engaging with nature enhances cognitive development and fosters curiosity. Hands-on activities such as gardening and nature walks not only enrich students’ sensory experiences but also help them connect with the natural world.
Nature is possible everywhere!
At SSIS Early Years, nature learning is seamlessly woven into the curriculum through activities like observing seasonal changes and participating in cross-cultural environmental sharing. These experiences deepen students’ understanding of the world and nurture a sense of wonder and respect for nature, encouraging them to appreciate their role in environmental stewardship.
Join us for NatureFest, where we celebrate the wonders of the natural world! Through interactive activities, we empower our Little Environmentalists to advocate for sustainability and take pride in caring for our planet.
Event Date – 18 Oct 2024
Location – Minhang Cultural Park
RSVP Now! This annual event was traditionally for SSIS Preschool families, but this year we are excited to open it to the public! Any preschool families interested in joining the event, please contact our Admissions Team for more information.
Our goal? Nurture Little Environmentalists brimming with agency and responsibility. Empower students to advocate for sustainability and chat about nature. Embrace nature’s wonders to boost learning and inspire future generations to cherish and protect our planet. Let’s make it happen!
