MAP Assessment AY2223
This week the grade 4-6 students have taken the first round of MAP Growth testing for the year. MAP Growth is an external assessment tool that allows us to compare ourselves with other schools and provides teachers with further information regarding their students.
MAP Growth is a computer adaptive test that determines what students know and are ready to learn next. MAP Growth tracks student growth over time – wherever they are starting from and regardless of the grade they are in. All grade levels (G1 – 6) will participate in MAP Growth testing this year. Grades 3 – 6 will be assessed in the areas of math, reading, language usage, and science while grades 1 & 2 will be assessed in the areas of math, reading and language usage.
Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations
The Chinese department has planned a variety of interesting activities for students to learn and appreciate the cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. They made mooncakes and took part in a traditional ‘lantern riddles’ activity. We wish everyone a memorable Mid-Autumn Festival!
School Uniform Reminder
A friendly reminder to all parents that it is recommended for primary school students to wear predominantly black shoes to school daily.
