As we approach the end of the academic year, there is much to celebrate and still, much to do!
NatureFest and Summer Concert
Last Friday, Preschool held its first-ever NatureFest! The event celebrated all the nature-based learning that has taken place this year and highlighted the importance we place on authentic interactions and a strong community! Thank you all for joining us!
This Wednesday, we had our second special showing of the Summer Concert, WHO! Once again, the thrilling plot and captivating performances created a memorable experience for the audience! The creativity and resilience of our young learners is remarkable!
End-of-Year Report Card
During the final weeks of school, classes will be wrapping up their units of inquiry and having various forms of assessment. Assessment in the Early Years will include ample play, learning and interaction observations, individual discussions, and selected work samples. The purpose of these evaluations is to better understand and support the developmental journey of each child. All assessments happen as an integral part of the school day; during play or in small group interactions, and students are just their happy, competent selves. The defined objectives of each learning area act as achievement markers helping us competently plan and cater to our learners. Families will receive the Term 3 report in mid-June. Use the reports as a point of discussion about the interests, abilities, and future steps of your child. The report cards are not a means for comparison as every child is uniquely different!
Kindergarten Two Graduation Ceremony
We will be proudly celebrating our curious, active and competent Kindergarten Two students as they complete their Preschool education and prepare for the Primary school adventure. This is a wonderful milestone in the lives of our students and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
This event is open to K2 parents who have already received the invitation. See you June 9th for the K2 Graduation Ceremony!
