On 15 March, 12 students from SSIS who are currently taking IBDP Physics class attended the 9th Annual Physics Masterclass Conference at Concordia Pudong, Shanghai.
In this conference, our students were given the opportunity to analyze the latest data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the large particle accelerator at CERN in Europe.
Our students were truly amazed with the data provided by CERN through the host school and they also enjoyed working with other participants to look over about 10,000 events related to double Z particle decays and diphoton taken from Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector.
